Rong Wang: A Pathway for Efficient Bilayer Photovoltaics
For her latest publication “Tailoring the Nature of Interface States in Efficient and Stable Bilayer Organic Solar Cells by a Transfer-Printing Technique”, Rong Wang developed a novel fabrication method, which enables solar cells containing two layers with a sharply defined planar interface. By regulating the molecular orientation at the interface, she realized devices showing improved long-term stability at high charge generation efficiency. This also enables a better understanding of the energetics inside an organic solar cell.
